Submit a New Patient Request.

All new patient requests are reviewed directly by our physicians prior to scheduling to determine whether we can responsibly assume care.

Our Approach

Northeast Texas Psychiatry is a private, physician-led outpatient practice providing longitudinal psychiatric care for adults.

We approach psychiatric care as a long-term therapeutic and professional relationship. Our new patient process is structured to reflect that commitment.

Conditions We Treat

We provide outpatient evaluation and treatment for adult mood disorders (such as major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders (such as generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder), trauma- and stressor-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, psychotic disorders (such as schizophrenia and delusional disorder), as well as borderline personality disorder. Care is grounded in careful diagnostic assessment, with attention to both symptom relief and long-term functional stability.

Access & Panel Size

We intentionally maintain smaller patient panels to ensure adequate time, continuity, and clinical depth for each patient. For this reason, we do not offer open online scheduling.

All new patient requests are reviewed directly by our physicians to determine whether the care requested falls within the scope of services we provide and whether we can responsibly assume ongoing outpatient treatment. We recognize that seeking psychiatric care can feel vulnerable, and we approach each request with care and deliberation.

Following physician review, initial appointments can often be scheduled within approximately one week when clinically appropriate and when scheduling capacity permits.

Scheduling & Care Setting

Visits are by appointment only. We do not provide walk-in or urgent psychiatric services. Care is delivered in a private outpatient setting with an emphasis on professionalism, confidentiality, and continuity.

This practice is not equipped to provide emergency psychiatric care; individuals experiencing an emergency should call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency department.

Payment Model

We operate as a direct-pay practice and do not contract with insurance. This model allows our physicians to practice independently, preserve longer visit times, and prioritize clinical judgment without administrative limitations imposed by third parties. We can provide documentation for patients who wish to pursue out-of-network reimbursement independently.

What Patients Are Saying

The following are some examples of patient feedback we have received regarding our clinic and approach to care. Identifying details have been altered or generalized to protect privacy.

After 15 years with the same psychiatrist, starting over felt overwhelming. Dr. Kuklina made the transition far easier than I expected. She's compassionate, direct when needed, and takes the time to understand the full picture.

– Patient feedback, Northeast Texas Psychiatry

I value privacy, and that's exactly what I get here. The practice is small, discreet, and genuinely private. The setting makes it easier for me to feel comfortable.

– Patient feedback, Northeast Texas Psychiatry

This practice takes a conservative, evidence-based approach to treatment. Medications with a solid track record come first, and newer options are considered thoughtfully. That balance gives me confidence that my care is being managed with long-term goals in mind.

– Patient feedback, Northeast Texas Psychiatry

After some frightening episodes in the past, safety planning became important to me. I feel like I now have clear steps for when I should reach out and what I should do if things start to change. Having a plan has helped me and my family to feel more prepared and in control.

– Patient feedback, Northeast Texas Psychiatry

When I first met with Dr. Poch, he reviewed my medications carefully and helped me to understand why my medications weren't working like they should. That alone made a difference in how I felt from day to day. I trust his clinical judgment and feel comfortable enough to recommend him to family members.

– Patient feedback, Northeast Texas Psychiatry

I was nervous about seeing a psychiatrist and worried that medications might change who I am. I didn't feel rushed or pushed into anything, though. The process felt respectful and thoughtful, and even early on I've noticed improvements. I'm glad I finally reached out.

– Patient feedback, Northeast Texas Psychiatry

After earlier experiences, I took time to understand the differences in training among mental health providers. Knowing I am seeing a board-certified psychiatrist with years of medical training and years of specialized training in psychiatry gives me real confidence in how my care will go.

– Patient feedback, Northeast Texas Psychiatry

I feel heard here. That alone has made a difference.
